Senior Banquet

The first senior class at PCS graduates this year! Chris and I went to the Senior Banquet this past Friday evening. It was lots of fun and very nice. We haven't had an occasion to dress-up/go out without the kids in a long time. Here's our picture! Chris actually did have a good time, despite his lack of excitement with pictures. :)

Easter

We went to Cornerstone with Anne`, Travis, Landon and Ava for Easter. Michael really enjoyed his first egg hunt and playing on the inflatable slide. Meredith had a good time taking everything in while Mommy took pictures.

Get ready! (Anne`, Ava, and Landon on far left)

I'm supposed to do what?!?

Okay, I think I get it...

You'll keep them safe, right Dad?

This is great!

The loot! (Sorry, can't seem to get it to rotate!)

Opening!

Hey, look! There's stuff inside these too!

Yay for giant slides!

Cute pics and Spring Break Update

Spring break went pretty well. Driving to SC without Chris is not quite as much fun as I might have thought. Not having someone else in the car to help with the kiddos really adds time to the trip. However, we did have a good time visiting the grandparents! Michael and Meredith both got sick so that was kind of a bummer, but we managed to have fun anyway. We got to take them to Riverbanks Zoo where Michael got to see some new animals. I think he really enjoyed it! Meredith didn't get sick until the end, so some of these pics she's still recovering. We also got to surprise cousin Sarah and Aunt Cat when we stopped in Augusta. Michael really enjoyed playing with his cousin, especially running around the house with her!

More pics are on the Picasa album, so make sure you check that out!

Meredith unimpressed with her brother!

Okay Mom, I'm looking at you, what more do you want!?

Potty Training

Wow, 2 posts in one day!

Anyway, I am super excited about potty training. Michael has been working with the potty for about a month now (really working, not just playing!).

Just a few minutes ago, he came up to me, holding the front of his pants, and said, "Mommy, pee-pee." So... we ran very fast to the potty, took off his pants/diaper, and he sat down. Five minutes later, he said, "Momma!!!" YES! There was pee-pee in the potty! Hooray! That's the first time he's asked to go and actually gone!

I knew that this would be how it happened. It's totally his personality to not do something until he can be successful at it. Now we'll see if this actually takes or if he's just teasing me!

ETA: AHHH, he did it again!!! Not 2 minutes after I posted this he came running in to tell me he pee-peed again!

Meredith's 6 Month Appt

Here are Meredith's 6 month stats.
15 lbs, 12 oz. - 25th %ile.
25 in. - 50th %ile
43.5 cm head circumference - 75th %ile!

Basically she's moderately long and skinny with a big head! I keep telling Chris it's because she's a girl and has a bigger brain! LOL :) Everything else is on track. Her next appt (and Michael's 2 yr appt) is in May, so I'll update again then.

I do notice that she "talks" a LOT more than Michael did, but she's not nearly so interested in moving as he was. Of course, this seems to be what everyone notices as one of the main differences at this age. We'll see how it goes. She really does want to crawl now though - yay!
